From Military Use to Household Essential: The Evolution of Adhesive Tape"

The first adhesive tape was created in 1930 by Richard Drew. When he noticed that automobile workers were having trouble masking off parts of cars when painting them. Drew created a transparent tape using glue that he had developed, and the product was initially marketed to the auto industry.

However, during World War II, adhesive tape took off. The military began using tape to seal ammunition boxes, and it quickly became an essential tool for the armed forces. After the war, the video was introduced to the public and quickly became a household essential.
